The PR about the opening was brilliant. Went to it opening weekend. Got a T-shirt which was the ticket. Graphics were a ticket with the comic book illustration of the characters on it.
The hype was great enough that we all went. But it wasn’t a good enough movie that we wanted to see it again.
Digital Public Library of America has 241 virtual libraries which geo locates users in banned book area. Those users can get a digital library card & check out 900+ banned books. The service doesn't keep location data. dp.la
It would be terrible if you told people about Books Unbanned, a program to get free library cards into the hands of teens and young adults anywhere in the country so they can access e-copies of frequently banned materials.
Thanks! Bought the shirt in the 90s. My dad “borrowed” it to be his go-to 4th of July outfit for DECADES. I inherited it back, and, well knew it was perfect for just this sort of thing. :D

The conversation between Klein and Coates showed me that a lot of people who screech about “infighting” on the left aren’t aware of the fact that marginalized people have been forced to learn how to regulate their emotions during conflict, and so, are better able to hear what’s actually being said.
