Wait! I think I did a good job of putting the work in on the Tolkien stuff! I think synthesising Tolkien’s influences, and the knowledge of the game’s writers and designers into cohesive, extremely credible interpretations of Middle-earth which were nothing like the movies was something we did well.
Ok this has been haunting me for two days and now I must try to answer.

Wait! I think I did a good job of putting the work in on the Tolkien stuff! Painted my first historical 28mm miniature this week.
It wasn’t really planned. Got it from a grab box and felt like it.
Found out it’s a WW2 Frenchie with a SM 24/29 LMG for Bolt Action.
So it’s only fair I gave him the @handiworkgames.bsky.social WW2 backdrops treatment.

Nice.
Not being funny right, but in a rare moment of not just seeing things I’d improve on next time, I’m well happy with these.
I also feel that there’s a really nice spread of what the Trench fellows get up to - original stls, new plastics, licensed partner models. Hmm. Satisfying.

Trench Crusade Backdrops in mono, featuring 3d printed War Wolf, a plastic Prussian, and a Westfaila artillery witch. Beautiful figures set into a narrative with a backdrop & some scatter terrain.

We'll be making this lovely book available next week! BEOWULF Age of Poems collects all the poems from our BEOWULF RPG, including some as yet unseen! (Not sure if I can say "Hwaet!" as an interjection now or not, thanks to people doing LEARNING and RESEARCH man what)

Something I really enjoy about doing historical research for (ultimately fantasy) games is that topics are often hard to understand, and you need to (try to) be able to grasp networks of interlocking factors, many of which do not conform to your pre-existing prejudices. I think it's really healthy.

Also the absolutely IDEAL plinth for backdrop book usage. (Look it’s not my fault that I can only find a Turkey Man in front of the Skies book ok? I just work here ok? Gimme a break I’m poorly.)

Just out of a good chat with an aspiring publisher. I think it’s ok to be like “lol no I don’t want to pack and post anything” but that also means you’ll always be reliant on third parties who will take a slice. WHICH IS FINE I hasten to add.

Just bought this, and I think you should get it too. Education is very tricky when you're not part of the main flow of it - we have plenty of experience with this in our house, so I know how difficult it can be.

Just bought this, and I think you should get it too. Education is very tricky when you're not part of the main flow of it - we have plenty of experience with this in our house, so I know how difficult it can be.
Just updated the FiveEvil Glasshouse PDF so the pre-generated characters have their own separate character sheet PDFs for your convenience.
It's a great little horror scenario for FiveEvil. I'm yet to run it myself but I can't wait.

I second this. A|State is a great, great game that I would recommend to anyone looking for a new FitD style game, and it's a gorgeous book as well.
