Thomas died yesterday afternoon after a four month illness. This is very strange for guinea pigs as they normally mask their weaknesses so as not to appear vulnerable. I hope we did our best.

Possibly the most Japanese thing I've ever seen. It's very dull and dry, but surprisingly engaging just for the realism shown on screen. Until the ghosts turn up at least. I don't know. I'm surprised Tarkovsky loved it, because things ACTUALLY HAPPEN here.
