Aside from the snark at them "discovering" this genre, I just want to point to the pre-existing game (Trade Wars) as not being the loser-tier BBS-tier gaming platform-tier that it has been dismissed as.

I met my wife that way. I met one of my best friends that way. Sometimes you gotta reach out, to remind yourself that these people ARE people. I think that's important. So if you get a request to meet up if I'm passing through (or you are), that's why. Just wanna connect.

I've met a lot of my weirdo friends that way, basically saying I'll be in the area, let's get together. The important part is that you get to actually see these people, have concrete proof that they exist. A lot of people will tell you that "internet friends aren't for real" but they are.

The best part is that they were very very supportive of LGBTQ and similar camps. Like, if you're a weirdo, they welcome you with open arms.

I know many of my BSKY friendos fly the freak flag proudly, but I can't emphasize enough how valuable it is to actually meet people that also do.

The most amazing one was an 82 year old lady that had never seen the movie in a theatre. When asked who brought her, she stated that she brought herself. My God, what fire that woman had.

Had a wonderful evening with my sweetie at a 50th anniversary RHPS showing with live cast. There were dozens of virgins, though a lot of them understood the assignment and dressed appropriately. At least two Columbias and one Riff Raff.

It’s telling how some male columnists and commentators have reacted to Riot Women as ‘man-hating’ when it’s simply depicting average everyday experiences women have with men all the time. If seeing the world through a woman’s eyes makes you hate men too the I guess you see our problem.
