The Kinderdijk windmills were really beautiful, well worth a visit and a fun water bus ride from central Rotterdam.

This is valid. Sweden's pernicious anti-immigrant stance and policies are only going to hurt the country. I like a lot of things here, but I don't feel particularly welcome and don't have any faith in its government or confidence in the long-term.

Visiting the gardens in #Jonsered today. The garden is small, but nicely curated, with a lot of hiking paths.

Also revisited Bohus Fortress, a nearby (and more intact) castle. Not as peaceful, but still a great piece of tangible history.

Ventured out to Ragnhildsholmen, the ruins of a 1200s castle outside of Gothenburg. It was beautiful, and nice to be alone with only the sound of wind.

Been missing American pastrami (made with beef - it's usually pork or poultry in Europe), so I got brisket from a butcher and made my own. Made reubens for dinner, served with the pickles I made the other day.

Fermented pickles in dill, garlic, horseradish, and black pepper. Perfect for summer.

Today's adventures in cooking - lettuce wraps with tofu, a cabbage slaw, and a spicy peanut sauce. Not the prettiest, but the sauce is addictive. Will definitely revisit.

Made a fermented salsa. It was mind blowing. Need to add that to my regular rotation. (Pictured here with fish tacos)

Why are Swedish media suddenly naming Forssell as minister in white supremacism scandal?
Why are Swedish media suddenly naming Forssell as minister in white supremacism scandal?
The Local and several other Swedish news sites have made the decision to name Migration Minister Johan Forssell as the government minister whose close relative has been linked to white supremacist groups. The Local Sweden's editor explains the decision.

do not install any app from Facebook or Meta on any device. Ideally avoid installing ANY social media app. Login through a browser.

I highly doubt Facebook is the only company pulling this shit
