Yeah that's pretty common. Kumo used to always grumble if I picked him up or tried to get some snuggles. Then Tsuchi appeared and he is constantly purring, sleeping on my feet and wanting to sit on my lap when gaming. He also got extra snuggly with Tare, since he used to only cuddle with her

To anyone else using Pinterest still, you can turn off GenAi interest recommendations now! I'm seeing far less ai now which is fantastic. Still a long way to go, but it helps. Also make sure this other one is toggled off as well

I don't use it a ton, but I do like to gather up fun art for Nintendo stuff, MHA, DBZ and Sailor Moon. It's like, 45% Izuku/Ochako fan art, 45% Luigi/Daisy fan art, then everything else. I did toggle all the AI shit off immediately

So my guess is either they, or kids, kept trying to pet her and she'd pull away. Tare let her come to her hand, then come out and be held and she purred the whole time. The no head touch did not last long, we think someone had been too rough with her.

Exactly this. Probably giving her the wrong food, stressing her out, and just being generally terrible. When we adopted 🌈 Willow, it took three tries because each time Tare went, some other people were supposed to take her. The thing is, when she was little she did not like her head touched
