GPF is currently down due to an issue with our service provider. Techs are on the case, but I have no ETA for the fix.

Generative AI runs on gambling addiction — just one more prompt, bro!

A recent cameo from another webcomic has been spotted in the #webcomic of "General Protection Fault" by @gpfjeff.bsky.social, thereby prompting an update to the comic's entry in the #CameoArchive (crossovers.dragoneers.com)! 😎

It involved months of intense study over an ancient, dusty, weathered text call "the Atlas", and making a sacrifice of oil, tire rubber, and chicken blood to the great gods Rand and McNally.

Walmart is playing dirty, tricking people into canceling their Nintendo Switch 2 orders. If you get a message saying there is something wrong with your payment method, do NOT try and change it. They will claim you are a scammer/scalper and cancel your order.

Is it wrong for me to see it as delicious irony that GMail, Google's flagship web mail client, flagged an e-mail from Google itself touting the marvels of its very own AI assistant, Gemini, as spam...?

Today, I am no longer Tin. I am now Antimony. I am a lustrous gray metal commonly used in alloys with lead, as well as flame retardants and semiconductors. I can be toxic with effects similar to arsenic, but can also be found in some medicines. I've been know since the days of ancient Egypt.

Me, working on "Surreptitious Machinations II":

Writer Me: I wrote this two decades ago, so all I have to do now is fix grammar and pacing!

Artist Me: The art here is challenging, but with all these special effects, I can leave most of it to the coloring phase!

Colorist Me: I hate you both.

Uh, oh... did I just draw Sam & Max? Tell me I didn't just draw Sam & Max.

I think I just drew Sam & Max.

It may be mixing metaphors, but I am clearly "lawful good" on the "grocery cart scale of morality". Not only do I always return my cart to the corral, I frequently gather other people's wayward carts, and will even take mine back in the store if the corral inside is empty.

Cartoonists, I'm begging you: have your own website with your comics on it. You can post them elsewhere too if you want, but I'm telling you, do not ever rely on a social media platform to keep you afloat. They're not there to make you money, they're there to make money off you.

GPF has always been scripted ahead of time, and usually the script was "final" by the time the words went into the strip. But every now and then, something didn't work, I came up with something better while I was drawing, or I had to scale back text to make room for the art, so things were flexible.
Do you script your comics word-for-word or wing it as you draw? 📝🎨 Tell us your approach! #writingcomics
