Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

If you need to determine the trajectory of a mundane person's life, roll a number of D8s equal to the number of decades they've been alive, and arrange them in order to see how their life occurred, with each dice result representing the tenor of that decade. Each result represents 10 years of their life. Ignore any results which contradict anything established about the character.

(Third roll: 4) She has a house. The enemy is gone and the Amity can't contact her. She found someone with no battlescars but whose hands were calloused from helping turn a new planet into a home. There are kids, too, whose parents are buried. On quiet days its like they forget. She doesn't, though.

She cut her hair short, let the scar glint in the shatterbeams' glow. It's mentioned on her wanted poster

(First roll: 5) She was 7 when they razed the town. She made it out in the back of an Amity skimmer when recovery crews moved in to pick up abandoned ordinance. She has a scar above her ear where the shatterbeam grazed her before putting a hole in her father. She covers it with her hair.

I'm a big fan of collecting really unusual names to use in things later. Depending on the setting and the game's tone, there's lots of really fascinating options just from Wikipedia rabbit holes.
