Hey neat, Proton has introduced their version of Google Sheets, so I can finally dump the only file I have left in Google drive! So now, the #Mariners 40 man payroll lives here. Same features, same look. Better place.

Since it's that time of year again, I can't recommend enough using Free Tax USA to file your taxes. Way easier/cleaner/less hassle that H&R Block's bullshit. This is my third year doing it through them and zero issues.

Unless Jackson Kowar clears waivers & remains a Mariner, the Robinson Canó era in Seattle is truly complete today.

Kowar was the final member of all trades in & out (+all subsequent trades of those players) involving Canó, Jarred Kelenic, Edwin Díaz, etc., not to have reached free agency/waivers.

With the acquisition of Jhonny Pereda and the removal of Jackson Kowar, the #Mariners 40 man payroll stands at $155,014,500.

Yu Darvish, 39, considered an icon among Japanese players who have followed him to MLB, has informed the San Padres that he is retiring. He is walking away from the $43 million left in the next 3 years of his contract, as Kevin Acee reports.

Megadeth's final self titled album is a 6/10. A step down from the last two fantastic albums, but a solid outing still for the band to ride off into the sunset with.

Megadeth was my favorite thrash metal band. I'll miss them. Enjoy retirement Dave.

Starfleet Academy episode 3 was much better than episode 2. I don't know if this is a good show yet, but I'm at least convinced it's better than Discovery and Picard so far. Admittedly an incredibly low bar, but they've cleared it non the less.

Gore trade probably puts the Rangers around what, 85 wins? Not worried about them yet as far as threatening the Mariners title, but definitely in the wildcard discussion now.

I overall don't hate Star Trek Starfleet Academy so far. Wasn't exactly good per say and there were certain aspects I hate like the modern dialog that continues to plaque modern Star Trek. But there were some positives. The Jem'Hadar/Klingon 1st officer is a stand out character.

Finally getting around to playing Tempest Rising this weekend and this game might as well be considered DLC for Command and Conquer - Tiberium Sun. And that is absolutely a compliment.

And to be clear, I am 100% in favor of the Dodgers spending lavishly. More teams should do!

I don't support spending stupidly.
In no world is Kyle Tucker EVER going to put up 7.5 win season to be worth that contract in any single year. Hell, he'll be lucky to put up HALF the total WAR required to be worth that contract.

The Dodgers spend lavishly, but they generally don't spend stupidly. This is spending stupidly.
