Some people only hear the lyrics and don't really feel the music at all, and some people only hear the music and don't notice the lyrics at all. And that's annoying because I think I've got lots of songs with either great lyrics or great music but very few (none?) with both!

The grossest thing was Bill Burr "they're just like us" comments. Like yeah no shit the audience are humans, people weren't concerned about the fact that you were performing to a bunch of Saudi civilians

I hadn't actually looked at who had performed at Riyadh Comedy Festival. Gotta say the biggest let downs there are Hannibal Buress and Omid Djalili, can't say any of the rest surprised me. I *was* surprised that Shane Gillis refused, I've always had him down as a no smoke without fire situation

Was thinking the other day how weird it is when you fall off a band. Like The Flaming Lips were one of my absolute favourite band, loved everything up to and including The Terror. Then they released Heady Fwends and I loved that too but it felt like they'd just started fucking around
