I accidentally left my mom’s sunglasses on a waiting room seat while I got bloodwork done. Some sat on them. The arms of them are bent, but the frames themselves are not broken. Do you think that an eyeglasses place could fix them? I’m so upset (at myself). 😭

I don’t think I’ve coped well with her loss. The grief is still so very deep.

It still doesn’t feel real, that she’s gone.

I miss my mom so much.
We opted out of thanksgiving. We, of course took dad for turkey dinner - but the whole act of togetherness, we just couldn’t muster.

No family feels gathering feels right. So much of the celebrating we did was because Mom wanted us to be together. Without her I’m untethered

Jim’s family resto had thanksgiving dinner today and tomorrow - excellent (huge!) portion, comes with dessert, $22.99.

Kelly’s deli was a staple for my friend group in Jr high and high school. I’m so thrilled the owner breathed life back into the deli. He’s a lovely lovely man and the food is top notch! I recommend them to everyone!

He was a gentle, quirky guy. Tended to a beautiful garden. Was a loyal friend. Soft spoken, funny, kind.

We will miss his presence so much.

Yesterday a lovely human we have supported through work with food support for a few years came in, his normal lovely self. Before he left he said “I appreciate you guys so much” and we all replied “we appreciate you, friend!”

Sadly, our friend passed away suddenly over night last night.

Any recommendations for where to take my dad for Turkey dinner tomorrow? Neither my sister or I have the capacity(emotionally) to make a meal or host this first family holiday without mom.
