Went Saturday and cut up a dead Black Walnut tree that recently fell. It was well over 20 feet and the heartwood looks beautiful.

6 years ago i scanned a request for this article out of a vintage magazine and it's lived in my head since.

Do NOT use vanilla in place of sherry! I just made this exactly as written and used vanilla since I didn't have sherry. It is now down the disposal. The smell alone was a huge indicator of what it would taste like. Whoever thought of vanilla with meat? Nasty.

One of the contestants on GBBO said Paul wasn’t giving out handies (handshakes) and both my wife and I guffawed. I’m guessing that’s not a euphemism in Britain.

My wife got a diagnosed with an incurable brain cancer at 37 and after surgery, radiation and chemo has been cancer free 8 years now. Beforehand we never noticed how often brain cancer is used in fiction. It's always portrayed as a death sentence.

The docs i'm scanning at work keeps using this as a heading on it's community news. Its always makes me think of Terrible Maps. Missouri's outline is gigantic and at an angle hovering above the US outline, why do this?
