The amount of amazing movies I discovered when browsing the video rental shops as a teenager compared to browsing SVoDs doesn't even compare.
The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

Me and my wife went down the park for lunch. Fed the ducks and moorhens with a loaf of bread, walked around the park and counted the squirrels (20!) and then home to make cheesy scrambled eggs and tobasco sauce. 10/10. Would recommend.

I swear the volume of emails from companies about Black Friday deals is worse than usual this year. I've had five emails today from one company alone. It's ridiculous.
