This moment in history makes me appreciate why each year on my birthday, I give mom a hard time about hustling her in-labor self across the river from shopping in St. John's, New Brunswick, to get to her doctor in Calais, Maine, in time to deliver me. MOM: I could have had dual citizenship. 🥺 Argh.

Well, the good news is I didn't need surgery on either injury, just a recovery walking shoe on one foot (big toe) and a boot on the other (metatarsal). The boot is friggin' massive and heavy. I don't dare walking down my carpeted stairs in this. So, yup, I go down on my fanny, step by step. 🤷‍♀️

Just finished my 200th postcard for this round of "Postcards to Voters." Gonna need to rest this writing hand for a week, but then I'm going in for more. If you're an introvert like me, this is a good way to volunteer. I get my list, I write and stamp my cards, I drop them in the mail. Done!

Eric Schmitt is one of my (Un)Senators. He may not be an idiot, but he's definitely no brain trust AND he's a seditionist serial liar. Oh, and every time he replies to any of my emails or letters, he calls me "Doctor Hall" in the saluation. I have no idea why, I am not a doctor. So, there's that.
