Of the Game Awards controversies right now this one is the most frustrating.
When I attended via Future Class, I was seated next to an award-winning game dev. We were both on our phones. During a break a director came up to him, got in his ear, and said "seat fillers shouldn't be on their phones".

Devs were only allowed a few (I believe two) tickets per nomination before Geoff charged them. Resale tickets were in the hundreds. And we all know what happened to Future Class (if you don’t, read my piece).

I loved Tom Stoppard when I was studying theatre. Man.
I remember seeing a production of Arcadia as a high school senior at the college I was going to be attending after a long day of scholarship auditions and being blown away by it. I have owned copies of most of his plays, one time or another.
