Star Citizen funding has now surpassed $900 Million USD over 14 years with this year (2025) bringing in a record $123M to date (there is still a month left to go!)

When do you predict they'll clear a BILLION dollars? I want to hear your predictions!

Some people need to be reminded that getting emotional about a subject does not invalidate your perspective or make your position wrong. I'd say being emotionless may be more invalidating than having emotion in a lot of instances.

Conversation, argument, and debate are all different things.

Realizing we don't have a nomination from Once Upon a Katamari which should qualify as it came out this year, but we need to nominate ONE little guy from the game who was introduced this year (so the prince wouldn't count)

Maybe a cousin? Let me know!
Alright everybody its time to start collecting nominations.

Who should be included in nominations for the award for BEST "LITTLE GUY" introduced in a game in 2025?

Nominations close end of November.

guys are not hard to shop for. Get them consumables and supplies. They can always use more. Find something they consume and get them a better version of it, or even the same thing but a nice restock supply so they don't have to worry about it for a while.

A late entry just dropped thats not enough to unseat Skate as the winner but still deserves an honorable mention for being among the best game key arts of 2025

Look at this!

We were freaking out about the forehead bug before launch but Tom made a very good point. And we wouldn't have had this excellent bug report sketch without it 👄

Every time we're presented with data from this survey its worth contextualising it with a reminder of who attends GDC and fills out this survey.
"This is also reflected in the layoffs crisis. According to our survey 28% of people working in audio, game design, or visual arts experienced a layoff during the past two years (compared to 22% of those in programming, business, or operations)."

Another one of history's little guys!
I think about this little guy all the damned time.

I saw him in the DIA collection almost ten years ago and he's remained a permanent fixture in my brain ever since.

Art is fucking wonderful.

Just to put this number in perspective, Tetris for the Game Boy (being number 24 for most copies of a game sold ever) is also at 35 million.

We've deliberated the award for Best Game Key Art of 2025 and while it was tough competition this year one clear winner has emerged.

Congratulations Skate! You really knocked it out of the park with this banger.

Its happened again so another reminder, that if you want to honor games, the least you could do is get their full and proper name right. Don't misspell, truncate or initialize their names. Give them some respect.

Also don't use their key art in weird ways, like cutting off the main character's head
