I know there are too many fires to fight all at once, but the takeover of the US Treasury payment system by an unelected oligarch has to rank near the top. If you haven’t called your representatives to stop him, do it today.

The internet had the potential to make humans so much smarter and interconnected. Instead, it's dumbing us down and siloing us off. A real tragedy.

I feel like reposting this daily. If you've ever sat within earshot of someone scrolling Instagram or TikTok, you'll realize that Carl was being overly optimistic.

I know it’s dangerous to speculate on motives, but I can’t help but wonder if #UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson would still be alive today if the US had implemented universal healthcare. I know a lot of other people would be.

I joined Twitter way back in early 2007, when there were only about 50,000 active users. Once it became X I knew it was only a matter of time until I left, but I thought the feeling was going to be bittersweet. I have to say though, clicking that Deactivate option today just felt sweet.

Good morning, Bluesky! 🦋

Starter packs are great— but do take the time to:

1) Look up fav influencers and hunt in their followers to find your friends.

2) follow back (as much as reasonable)

3) Engage in conversations

It’s important to build real mutually-supportive & engaged community here.
