And yet no one cared about Israel's decades-long refusal to hand back many hundreds of bodies of Palestinians it was holding.

"Transsexuality is bourgeois" reflects the common belief that medicine, technology, and any improvements to quality of life are owed to capitalism. The reality is that capitalism holds these improvements hostage for the sake of wealth.

To be clear, even though liberals think their policies will improve lives, they just reinforce the power structures that create the conditions conservatives view as the natural order the opposition to which is the source of their grievances.

Grievance is also just a core factor of their ideology. Even though liberalism is fundamentally right wing a key difference is liberalism believes the market and other unjust power structures improve people’s lives. Conservatives don’t want to improve lives, they want to avenge slights against them.
