This is a direct attack on the stability and well being of anyone who rents in Ontario. If this bill passes, it will cause irreparable damage to working families.

This will - without a doubt - force me to pay a rent I cannot afford for the home Ive lived in for the last eight years. This directly threatens my ability to live in this city, and Im furious that the Ford govt has added this fear and anxiety into my life. Its an attack on all renters' well being.
The Ford government has announced plans to shred a bunch of tenant protections: news.ontario.ca/assets/files... (pdf, see p. 13-15)

Hey Ontario. Please pay attention to this. It's fucking terrifying. As a renter I rely on rent control in order to, you know, LIVE, and this threatens to take it away from me and most people I know.

Write to your MPP. Call Ford's office. I don't even know what to think right now. Fuck Ford, man.
In particular, they want leases to no longer necessarily remain in effect indefinitely, so that landlords have more options for creating tenant turnover.

just witnessed a man walk out of an alleyway wearing surgical gloves, carrying tongs and a sharps container. his expression communicated many things not the least of which is that he does this every day

it's so weird to me how companies. corporations, economic pundits, etc etc all seem to think of "consumers" as some kind of endless resource that will continue ad infinitum while private buying power is being reduced at every turn by grossly over-reaching policies of worker efficiency
