Hey! I'm Gen 👋
I'm the Studio Art Director at DICE and a gamedev veteran of over 20 years.

I'm passionate about game development & creative leadership and like to post thoughts and advice on those topics occasionally. I'm also a house goblin, common nerd and like to write about anything really ✨
rest + comfy blanket + hot water/lemon/honey
not very unhinged sadly
I don’t have those but I do have a lot of emotional support notes and random admin paper piles.
No I will not sort them.
I’ll let my alternate universe Gen know ;)
Hey - same on my end :) and since I’m on this side of the Atlantic I can get PS5 EU codes if you have euro peeps in your group

A #PortfolioDay reminder to pin your own portfolio post to the top of your profile so it's easier to find your's to repost.
I feel that my phone’s autocorrect has it in for me.
I feel we’ve totally jumped the shark by not observing the sacred & time honoured October 31 to a November 1st switcheroo. I’m not one to cling to traditions, but on this? Yes, yes I’ll die on this hill.
Why are the Christmas cakes and candy out in the shelves at Lidl on October 14
hahaha yeah that's terrible

I'm not that bad with this at least:)

It's more the recovery phase. I find it really hard to gauge if I'm good to go.
I can't manage the transition period between "I'm dying therefore must take a sick day" and "good enough to work".

Someone fix me.
Don’t do what I do, do what I say, says the person home sick who still showed up to a meeting* while coughing up a lung.

*look it was important, ok?

Choices were made, regrets followed.
You know… I had completely forgotten about this bs thanks to 3 years of freedom, and yet

So it’s Thanksgiving Day in Canada and this is your reminder it is not “Canadian Thanksgiving.”

WE STARTED THANKSGIVING. Like most good things, Americans stole the idea off us.

It began in 1578 as a harvest celebration. It was an official holiday in 1879.

It remains a harvest celebration.

The first official, annual Thanksgiving in Canada was celebrated on 6 November 1879. However, Indigenous peoples in Canada have a history of celebrating the fa...

They are very different words… 😩
I’d really love it if people could spell the title “principal” correctly. On principle.
The same for pretty much any other product of theirs, starting with the website. Its UX is dismal and yet…
I’ve never had those so I can’t say, but what I had last night tasted and felt like hot dogs, unlike all the other hot dog lookalikes I’ve tried in Europe.
Well apparently it’s a thing on this side of the Atlantic. I mean, sure, that makes them shelf stable…
Nuclear glow yellow or nothing.
Uh I don’t know why anyone would want to eat those cold 🙃
They’re exactly like regular american hot dogs, maybe a touch longer. Taste is right, unlike knackis or saucisses de strasbourg. I would assume Vienna sausages to be closer to the latter.
