Why would someone stop for them other than the fact they have a gun? They do not look official in any capacity.

Tonight I start reading Gilgamesh and the Power of Friendship, aka The Epic of Gilgamesh.

Or something like that.

The subjects this term is covering across 3 courses is going to give me severe whiplash.

Yes. 1000% this.

She didn't sit down with you so you spent your editorial time insulting her? That says far more about you than her not showing up says about her.

That insidious remark about her being a young woman and "never smiling"... Smarmy middle aged and older men who do this to young women are always the worst actors. Any time someone says this to a woman or femme presenting person that person should be allowed to punch them.

So many wifes! Oh what a perfect day for them to release them all.

Exactly!

"Sir, I have been working for you since you were born. Heck, even before you were born. It's time you put me on the payroll."

This beautiful peace of art speaks such truth. This is what I want to remind the people I meet every day: stay curious and stay able to find wonder in a world that wants to rob you of both.
a little bit of hope means you want to know about the world, no matter what it's done to you

I just gave son his bill for his monthly subscription to something.

He thought I was charging him $10,000.

Son, if you had $10k laying around we'd need to have other very different conversations!

This man, the one she mentioned, knew the girl when she was underage and had influence in her life. :-/ It sounds like you and your husband met in a normal fashion and formed a proper adult relationship which is good and I am so glad you are happy.

What a helpful kitty trying to get the mess cleaned up! Let's ignore that half of it will be yarfed back onto the nearest soft surface later.

One day I hope I have a Carrie and Cressie too, and fan art from all over of the hags.

I can dream, right?

These live in the houses of witches. I do not make the rules. (I am not taking from you, I promise, I am just noting their natural habitats.)

I gave the amazing @lucidpeech.bsky.social a loose description of Calpurnia, the lead sister in Hags of Mud Wallow, and look what they came up with! She's so sweet. The only thing missing is Fiera, who is off camera going through her long list of absolutely appalling swears.

It's that wonderful time of day where son comes home and all the dogs are determined to bellow at once.

I think they are doing their best within the systems they are working with. That they are able to keep making these tremendous changes while keeping the game stable and functioning, with next to no downtime, is a feat in and of itself.

Some problems also don't present until released into the wild.

Guild Wars 2 has been out since 2012 and has undergone so many changes since then. The statement "spaghetti code" is probably putting mildly what developers have to wade through to make these large, systemic changes. I do not think there's a lack of foresight or practical insight (more)
