Once you start down the path of finding alternatives to "industry standard" software, it's a quick realization that many of the alternatives are just as good, but we've been taught to disdain change and new learning.

"Industry Standard" hasn't actually been based on *quality* for a very long time.
(And, yeah, I know you're specifically not talking about Adobe in the above post, but I was more referencing moving away from subscription models altogether.)
I know it's not an option for everyone, but this is the main reason I bought the perpetual license to Affinity Suite V2. I've been using Photoshop for almost 30 years and have found minimal adjustment moving to Affinity, and if it means no subscription, I'll absolutely adjust.
(Don't read this as shade toward early Paramore. I got into Paramore when Riot! came out, and have loved them ever since. Hayley Williams is one of the best vocalists ever to play the game, unqualified.)
Paramore is one of my all-time favorite bands.

So, tell me: What other bands are similar to modern Paramore?

I specify "modern" because original Paramore is pretty standard pop-punk, but they've since evolved.

So who should I listen to along the lines of "After Laughter" or "This Is Why"?
Besides, the Louvre heist was way too basic for Locke.
Good night, Bluesky. Good work. Sleep well. I'll most likely quit you in the morning.
It's even more hilarious because Cameron has done a few different public interviews on the subject in the last couple years.

I really like that movie. And TIL it's a remake!

Genuinely never knew until now.
Wait... you *do* love his economic takes? Because WOW a lot of those are just as bad.
Of course women don't like the Cybertruck.

Women only want one thing, and it's Dragula.
As a former Seattleite and Sounders season ticket holder, lemme say: The George is a FANTASTIC place to watch a Sounders game - as long as you're into the loud, hype atmosphere.

If you're on the Eastside and don't want to go into Fremont, check out the Three Lions in Redmond.
Looking for a place to watch #NYCvSEA? 📺

Join us at The George and Dragon this Saturday for a watch party!

That earned an actual LOL from me. 😂
Awesome, thank you!

A wedding we went to a few years ago served "Bacon Roast", which was effectively just a massive slab of slow-roasted cured pork belly that they'd cut hunks off of.

It was glorious.
At some point, when you're not at risk of doxxing your location, do you mind revealing what restaurant this is?
It genuinely surprises me that little LCD games like this haven't made a weird retro resurgence yet.

Now that I think of it, though, those purpose-built LCD panels would probably be really expensive to produce nowadays.
My wife and I literally just bought that album on vinyl a few months ago. 😄
Yep. Nailed it. Just keep your eye on it.
"Remarkably swift conversion of Alderaan into mine-able asteroids showcases the Empire's power and efficiency"
This is how The Boston Globe chooses to frame the kidnapping of a local teenager.
That's crazy.

I've worked a few different phone customer service jobs, and while our incoming calls would shut down at a specific time, it was part of our job to clear the queue of anyone who'd already made it in.

Of the available options, "leave them hanging" is literally the worst.
1. The nails are beautiful. 2. Gawd DAYUM that ring!
