Mother to two adopted children who struggle with the effects of FASD. Angry with Brexiters, our education system and those who refuse to think. #BHAFC

Another solid debunking of right-wing fear mongering. Maybe Ofcom should fine GB News if they don't check the facts before broadcasting.
🚨Christian children were told they'd "be Muslim by year 6"!🚨

😱Sounds outrageous?

You know the drill…

If it sounds outrageous and designed to trigger you into being angry with “other” people, then you need to do some 🪏

Nigel Farage, coming to a city near you.

Why is Keir Starmer obsessed with Nigel Farage?
An astoundingly bad interview from Nick Robinson this morning. He might as well be a Reform mouthpiece.
There are some disgusting people and too many bots on X. Dreadful that they have treated you like this, but weak people can't cope with reason.
I know we're not quite there yet, but this by Angela Carter sums up the joy of Autumn (when the light eventually gets through). "October, crisp, misty, golden October, when the light is sweet and heavy."

Now it’s time to kick Russian and American assets out of British politics. Be a patriot. Unlike Nigel. Believe in your country. Not in Trump and Putin

There seems to be some *confusion*
among Reform supporters over Nathan Gill being one of them

“But, but, Reform didn’t exist when he took his Russian bribes”

“But, but he was in UKIP”

“But, but it has nothing to do with Farage, he barely knew the guy”

So here’s a little history lesson 👍🏼🧵

The richest 400 Americans gained enough new wealth in the past year to have provided every adult citizen with about $400 a month in universal basic income. That would cut poverty in half.

We are making a choice as a society to give a small number of people essentially infinite access to resources.
The 400 richest people in the U.S. are now worth a record $6.6 trillion after getting $1.2 trillion richer over the past year.

Elon Musk openly called for violence on our streets yesterday.

I hope politicians from all parties come together to condemn his deeply dangerous and irresponsible rhetoric.

Britain must stand united against this clear attempt to undermine our democracy.

Sky News says police are "overwhelmed by the numbers". Met coped perfectly well with 2x as many at the pro-Gaza rally, 5x as many at the anti-Brexit march, and 15x as many at London Pride.

They're not overwhelmed by the numbers. They're overwhelmed by the ratio of violent thugs in those numbers.

This is the thing when you’re pro-humanity…

Every death stings

Even those who spent their lives sowing division

Because our goal is always a better world

For everyone

…and every life lost is a sad reminder of how incredibly far we still have to go.

Angela Rayner accidentally pays less tax than she should have, resigns, and the media gives her hell.

Nigel Farage deliberately pays less tax than he should have, and the media gives him a free pass.

That, right there, is the problem.
Very saddened by this. The media exaggeration of her error is vile. Feels like she has been hounded out. I don't agree with everything she says but she was a force for good in government.
How sad to be the richest man in the world, but all you do is repost racists and bots. What a waste of a life.
That's what I think. If a populust left-wing party pulls Labour back to the left, Labour will benefit. Although Labour also need to find a soul and a good narrative for their policies.
Time for the government to be seriously looking into ways of making a Universal Basic Income affordable. The added threat of widespread unemployment due to AI means that the welfare state and taxation need a huge overhaul.

There can be absolutely no “shock” about this. The media has been shamelessly platforming Reform all summer. All summer, we’ve had hate-mongering headlines about immigration. It’s a tedious and grim inevitability that you’ve made people angry enough to want to vote for this shit in response.

A video has been claimed to show an “illegal migrant” losing their temper after an Oxford City Council scheme offering free PS5s to migrants ran out.

But the clip was filmed in the US in 2018, and Oxford City Council says it runs no such scheme.

The footage, in which a man destroys the inside of a video game store, has been shared with misleading claims on social media.

Factivism definitely! Need to use that word more.

Any fool blithely saying they’ve now had a bit of a think about the ECHR and we should leave - is part of why we’re now stuck in the mess of Brexit, being told by the far right to hand our human rights over to them to administer.
FFS people. Have you learned nothing from the last decade of failure?

"There are those out there who submit to the false narrative, peddled by politicians and media alike, that the far-right xenophobes that exist on the fringes of English politics somehow represent the entire nation."
Let’s celebrate the real England
England is not the far-right fringe - it's a nation of compassion, protest, and progress. The people show who we are
