Weshalb verfängt das Wort Eskalation so sehr? Weil es diffus ist.

Six months ago I wrote this post about “the next terrorist attack.” I republish it now (lightly updated) because my fear of this scenario has recently grown much greater.

@bvisness.me Is this a complete standalone graphviz alternative that can layout and render any given graph? Which syntax would be required to describe a graph?
Also: it seems that this can natively handle multi-edges/converging arrows. Graphviz does not do so natively...

But states can (and should) throw money to subsidies such critical industries in order to re-create them or support their survival in long periods of peace.

In #Czechia, everything around the Russian embassy in Prague has been renamed in honor of people who fought for #Ukraine and opposed Putin's regime - Ukrainian Heroes Street, Skakun Bridge, Boris Nemtsov Square, and more.

Hi All, Just sent out my free weekend update. Big Story (which should be no surprise) Trump sandbagged Ukraine again, lied about possibly helping the Ukrainians then pivoted to work with Putin. Can we end this charade?

Please join me in a new campaign to help protect Ukrainians in a very special way. My Ukrainian friends chose to call this campaign Freedom is Action. They are making an important point. One way to find our own courage is to act in support those who are showing it

To summarize. If Trump wanted to send Ukraine Tomahawks, he could right now. If Trump wanted to sanction Russia, he could right now. If Trump
wanted to seriously bolster Ukrainian air defense against Russia drones/missiles, he could right now. But he’s not, so he doesn’t want to.

Hi all, Just sent out my free weekend update. It ended up being focussed on the strategic air war. Russia, once again, is trying to make Ukrainian cities unliveable in winter. They have benefited by the US slow walking air defense--though Europeans are helping more. open.substack.com/pub/phillips...

The Russian drones operations reveal two things that Europeans seem unable to admit to themselves. The first is that they are unwilling/incapable of stopping these operations and seem helpless to keep them from multiplying. The second is that the US government doesnt care and will not help Europe.

HI all, just sent out my free weekend update. It was one of those weeks (months really) which confirmed how the war is evolving. The land war is getting more frozen and destructive for those in it, the strategic air war is broadening and expanding. open.substack.com/pub/phillips...

It cannot be that Russia “accidently” violates three times in two weeks European air space.
Russia is testing European borders and probing our resolve.
It will continue to provoke as long as we allow it.
