If the existing Hudson Tunnel fails, we risk completely hobbling a rail connection that "produces 10% of the country's economic output and is used by 200,000 travelers daily."

We need the federal government to release funding for the Gateway Program ASAP

At the end of the week, commuters saw 45 min delays due to a blocked tunnel.

Things like this prove how vital a second operating tunnel is for our region. We need the Gateway Program.

Delays like this will become more frequent - and impact more riders - the longer we rely on the North River Tunnel. We need to complete the Hudson Tunnel Project as soon as possible to deliver reliable, modern rail infrastructure that riders can count on.

Snow and ice don't stop us. The hundreds of hardworking men and women building the Hudson Tunnel Project show up every day and endure the elements to deliver the most urgent passenger rail project in the country. Federal funding must be restored so these workers can stay on the job.

The Hudson Tunnel Project is the most urgent infrastructure project in the country – for workers, riders, and the economy – and funding must be restored now. That’s the message we heard loud and clear from workers building the tunnel at our Board Meeting yesterday.

No missed connections here! We recently broke through the bulkhead separating the part of the Hudson Yards Concrete Casing being built under the High Line from the section that is already complete. We're now one step closer to connecting the new tunnel under the Hudson River to Penn Station.

We’re continuing to make progress toward the start of tunnel boring! While our tunnel boring machines are in transit from the factory, our team in New Jersey has been hard at work building the portal launch box at the foot of the Palisades. Next step: assembling the TBMs on site!

Before tunnel boring machines can dig under the Hudson River, the riverbed must be stabilized. That’s a huge project on its own. We have to create a block of reinforced earth more than four city blocks long!
