Afternoon GC
“I can’t turn you loose” Otis Redding ; “I can’t stand up for falling down” Elvis Costello & the Attractions or “I should live in salt” the national
Mani it’s that little bass run in the opening of “she bangs the drums”

I’ve known #MilesHunt for a long time now.
Been a fan since first clapping eyes on him & #TheWonderStuff at Dingwalls in 1988.

I’m thrilled he’s up for returning to the #ExchangeTwickenham for a rematch of music & chat this coming Sunday.

Like Simon, Pam is someone I saw at various things over the years. One club I associate with Pam is The Wag where I would often see her brightening up the place like only she could.
I had some lovely chats with her there and at other clubs over the years.

What a unique special talent she was 🙏 x
I really liked Pam Hogg. She's someone I would often run into at clubs, parties and gigs (esp by Siouxsie, whose outfits she designed). She was always kind to me, and gave off a healthy disrespect for *glances around* all this bullshit, while also BOSSING the bullshit. So sad to hear she's left us.

I’ve been blessed with some amazing radio producers over the years. Most I’m still in touch with.
Ollie I’ve been working with for yonks. We bonded over our shared love of The Fabs so it was a treat last night to hang out & see a taster of the expanded #TheBeatlesAnthology together.

Beatle bliss 😃

Saddened like everybody to hear of the passing of Mani. What a talent.
His bass playing - so distinctive.
He always brought the groove.
Was lucky to have met him a couple of times.
That smile of his was dazzling.
RIP 😔

With The Beatles Anthology series restored & expanded & coming to our screens I thought we could celebrate not only The Fabs but also one of their major influences Tamla Motown on The Saturday Session this week.

As for old things - I have a small brown earthenware vase that belonged to my nan. It's a bit chipped, but still looks great with roses in it

And, much to everyone's amusement, I have a box of sugar that's at least 10 years old, still about half full... and handy for the occasional builder's brew
