Pauline Hanson's poison is rewarded with airtime and rising support. But fearmongers must be called out | Julianne Schultz
For years the radical right has been pushing the limits of acceptable language. Now, as the One Nation leader proves, hateful, demonstrably wrong things can be said without qualification

Matt Canavan actually saying something I agree with about Pauline Hanson is proof of the worst person you know actually making a good point for once. Proof that even the sun shines on a dogs arse some days. #auspol

OKAY BIG ONE FOR YA

NEW report out today: I dig deep into how big tech has been muddling tech types and overstating evidence to claim "AI" will make global emissions drop like a stone....

Not only will it not, it seems to be verifiably doing the opposite!!

We can't fall into right-wing populism’s lie that the most vulnerable in society are to blame for wealth inequality in our countries. We need to build movements that tell the truth: the story of wealth inequality is not a cultural one, but a class one.

So The Age has churned out "special series" on exclusive men's clubs, then private golf clubs, now restaurant tycoons. All suitably fawning over supposed powerful elites. Tell you what, why not just save time and do one called "Rich arseholes, and why we suck up to them".🙄

The LNP, after drifting further to the right following the Morrison defeat by listening to Abbott, Credlin & the Sky ‘News’ bubble with Dutton as leader get a smashing at the ballot box & their solution is to do the same thing all over again. Bold strategy Cotton, let’s see if it pays off #auspol

I don’t think the Liberals will win going full MAGA-anti-immigration. Australia has compulsory voting which buttresses against extremism. However, they will and already are doing a huge amount of damage to the migrant community in the meantime, and everyone should care about that, including media.

“We cannot ignore what we can see with our own eyes.

This was state violence.

And the blame lies with the NSW Labor government for attempting to shut down legitimate protest, and the federal Labor government who invited the head of a state committing
genocide to our shores.”

Excellent words, great article. Social cohesion isn’t a buzz word, it’s a political tactic.

“If you are othered by powerful groups, you become the victim of cohesion, not the beneficiary; what you get from social cohesion is a punch from an armed official of the state, not protection.”

The NSW cops are being so overtly aggressive it would almost seem like they were under orders to make sure the protest became violent.

Disgusting behaviour by the NSW police. I haven’t been this ashamed to be an Australian since the No To The Voice campaign winning. Which isn’t that long ago, but still. @albomp.bsky.social is the most disappointing PM I’ve seen in my 45 years on this planet.
Assaulting people while they pray peacefully in public is a new low for the Australian police. Shame on them. #Herzog #Gaza

BREAKING: New Image that Epstein sent himself confirms that in 2015, Epstein went to dinner with Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk and Peter Thiel.

Why the hell was he invited to dinner with these three men, being that he basically plead guilty to being a p-do in 2008?

Who governs Australia #Auspol?

Choices are pretty clear cut by now, its solar sovereignty and solar democracy or capitulation to fossil fascism and our traditional overlords.
In the email to Geoffrey Epstein the UK Labour peer Lord Mandelson suggests that in opposing Rudd governments proposed mining profits tax …. “You do not want to turn it into an issue of 'who governs Australia' … elected representatives or the mining companies".

Newly released documents show British Labour peer Peter Mandelson kept sex trafficking paedophile Jeffrey Epstein informed about the campaign against Kevin Rudd's proposed mining tax.
