A Guantanamo Bay torturer is the governor of Florida (to be fair he's from later, after they realized it would make way more sense to torture guys from other countries instead). It's hard to imagine what justice looks like in 2025, but the fantasy doesn't really work right now, for me anyway

I watched to the end. I thought that was great. RIP Rob Reiner. Spoilers in case you haven't seen it, but it turns out the "Few Good Men" was a subtle reference to the Cubans stationed outside Guantanamo Bay
And they're good! Jack Nicholson as himself abusing Kiefer Sutherland absolutely fantastic. I guess this is why it's called A Few Good Men?

Something I miss about Asheville is that there aren't Lime bikes or scooters all over the sidewalks. Don't think I saw a single Cybertruck for that matter. Even if it could handle such mountainous terrain to be able to drive in, everyone would literally laugh you out of town.

Offered food to a homeless guy cuz I had a bag full of sandwich ingredients and nothing to do, figured I'd eat with him if he wanted. He looked at my Wired "You Can't Hack a Tote Bag" bag, shook his head and said, "No thank you, I'll wait for someone with an NPR tote." Can you believe that?
