emil likes fire emblem and other strategy games! probably also simulation and management games. I think he would wrack up an ungodly amount of hours in civilization if you let him. he's also not immune to facebook match-3 slop and CAN be made frustrated enough to spend money on it.

But for hardcore DD enthusiasts and soloers, yeah, maybe not the challenge they hoped for. I can't judge tho cause I haven't tried to solo any of them!
Personally idm it being a little easier cause orthos stresses me out lol. This one is very chill for me

I find it to be a pleasant difficulty, esp for something you want to repeat weekly for challenge log. I think for new to mid experience DD players it's great and achieves what they intended to get more people into it! I think the shelf life will be decent too, esp since it's also a leveling option

Also not a lot of damage from mobs, even with gloom I don't need potions on tank. I think the most dangerous situation is as always multiple patrols from multiple directions, but even that seems more manageable here somehow.
HOWEVER the 99 boss is easily more complex than anything in orthos

I definitely think the floors and mobs are not as threatening as orthos. That shit was scary all the way through and here is like, maybe one scary mob per floorset in the back half? Chameleons, instakill casts from birds/lions, the succubus is a pain. But otherwise it's pretty chill?
