Your resistance song of the day:

Gaddaar by Bloodywood

Faith turn into hate
Hate turn into votes
Votes turn into notes"

I know 3's title, but not the band which sucks. I know 6 as well, the band, but not the title.

3 is Rumors
6 is Portugal the Man.

Starting my hide and seek team, but good players are really hard to find.
There'll be blue lights flashing down the long dirt road
When they ask me to step out
They say, 'We be looking for illegal immigrants
Can we check your car'
I say, 'You know it's funny
I think we were on the same boat back in 1694'"
I think every couple of days, I am going to share a song that can be used to express resistance against this insanity in the U.S.

Today, "Shame on You" by the Indigo Girls. It's a song about racism against immigrants.
I used to post this every recent election cycle on FB. Since I am not there anymore, here you go. The best thing @reason.com ever made.

NBC News finds that:
-- ICE has shortened its training from 13 weeks to six.
-- Nearly half of recruits couldn’t pass an open-book written exam.
-- Recruits "are supposed to attest" they can pass the physical-fitness test, which requires them to run ... 6 mph.

Some new ICE recruits have shown up to training without full vetting
The recruits have had criminal backgrounds or failed drug tests or were unable to meet physical or academic standards, raising concerns about the agency’s rush to hire immigration officers, sources to...

I am honestly getting tired of voting against people. Y'all need to get some better candidates.
The Democrats in Virginia have a problem they need to fix. Spanberger is the first decent candidate they've had in a long time (Hashmi I don't know enough about). Jones they should have vetted better. One of his opponents lost because she took money from Dominion Power. She was a better candidate.
However, his community services was with his own PAC! I know this will anger my friends on the left, but corruption and stupidity is the same no matter which party. This is what we know, what else is there?

TBH, when I vote this Saturday, I am tempted to leave the Attorney General box blank.
But I really struggle with Jones. He is immature. Those texts he sent were horrendous. And if that were it, I could hold my nose and still vote for him. However, he was caught doing 116 mph. That is reckless and there is no excuse for it. Jones paid the fine and did community service.
When it comes to the Attorney General race in Virginia, I am really struggling. Those against Miyares will say that he is in Trump's pocket and voting for Jones will protect Virginians from Trump-like policies. And no matter what Jones did or said, it is never as bad as being a Trump crony.
I am going to share something politically that I am struggling with.

As some of you know, I am libertarian which makes voting frustrating because I almost always vote against a candidate than for in state and national elections. That's kind of irrelevant to this post, but anyway...

Latest: I wrote about the DHS Office of Public Affairs shameless lies about ICE arrests and all the times it's lied to me and other reporters lately.

DHS did not respond to my request for comment about all the lies it's told. reason.com/2025/10/22/h...
Homeland Security won't stop lying about who immigration enforcers are arresting
In case after case, Homeland Security's Public Affairs Office releases incorrect information about arrests carried out by federal immigration officers.
