The novelisation is a missed opportunity and a lost art form, poached from us by capitalists.

We still know the stories of Robin Hood and King Arthur because of novelisations. Peter Pan & Hitchhiker were novelisations. They should be a thing all writers can enjoy doing, knowing it's a real art form

And if they ever do return they need to be a necessary evil or doing very wrong things that they can justify with their twisted logic. There's a very good tale to be told with them as a parallel to the current world but I think they need the rest.

Framing them as the good guys feels very dated in gives me the vibes of the MACOs in Enterprise. Having secret police as the good guys (or framing stormtroopers as heroes) feels very "are we the baddies" coded.

I think they need to vanish for a long long time.

OMG! I made an offhand joke in my latest Star Trek video calling out r/Star_Trek_ for their centrist takes by assuming any left-leaning critique is just about “diversity points” instead of discussing how Trek should challenge the modern status quo - and then they literally did that to my vid. LMAO!

I'm sure Starfleet Academy will be more to your palate..."

COMMENT SAYING - I think these people are fake Trek fans, they’ve never cared about the franchise. Only how it can be used as a vessel to carry their beliefs. They thought Trek was progressive so they believed its only value came from being progressive.

I sometimes worry I exaggerate the collective madness of our media but the people who cheered Brexit, Boris Johnson & Liz Truss's mini-budget are now applauding Kemi Badenoch's speech. 'Parallell universe' doesn't come close. I suppose her not falling over is a win of sorts for them at the moment.
