I had no idea what this place was like during its glory days! We had just stumbled upon this area before taking a cruise in 2021. I found it oddly charming - not knowing it's background. Thank you for your write-up and history of it... and it's tie to Disney.🙏

I've been thinking. I began pursuing WDW history work in 2005 at a point when there were maybe 4 good, very broad resources out there. I was an employee of WDW which meant I was there 3 times a week for free, and felt like nobody was out there doing this research for me.

I've been as shaken as many of you by Disney's disastrous decisions of the past few years and feel very alienated from even having anything to do with those guys. I don't know what the path forward is but I suppose we'll find it together.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome! After knocking out two books in 4 years I'm having a lot of trouble motivating myself to write... much of anything, to be honest. I've been exploring what's next for me, reflecting on how far I've come, and focusing on improving my quality of life.
