And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs:

Love the way people chime in with suggestions.

Do any fungi folks know what these little gumdrop-looking globes are? Each one was under a millimeter in diameter. I found them on the underside of a fallen, decaying Joshua tree branch in the Mojave Desert. 🍄
A closeup photo of decaying wood, covered with many small, white, round, gumdrop-looking growths, perhaps the fruiting bodies of a sort of fungus.

They did. While laughing hysterically. And then left it in so we could laugh and complain

Pretty sure I did that picture in a 2500 piece jigsaw puzzle

Sounds reasonable. I’d rather geckos 🦎 around than the bugs they eat

So sorry. Got to the “safe pistachios “ and could almost feel the attack. One of my allergies.

2024, I almost stepped on this Carolina mantis because she was on my front door threshold ... where I was stepping. I stepped over her and took some photos. The wings are gorgeous. #Invert

"Sara" has worked in Watsonville CAs strawberries for 16 yrs. "I earn piece rate. It's raining which makes the rows slippery and the mud sticks to our shoes. It's dangerous as we still need to work fast to make enough money to pay our bills." #WeFeedYou

Saw this Great Blue Heron this afternoon at Berkeley Aquatic Park. From a distance I thought it was a piece of wood because it blended in so well with the old wooden retaining wall behind him. Always delighted to come across a heron.

Large shorebird standing along the shoreline of a large lagoon in Berkeley that is connected to San Francisco Bay. There is an old, wooden retaining wall behind him. Water is pale greenish, gray.

One advantage: wear a mask 2 times in a row to a restaurant and you are pointed to the most isolated table and given excellent service. Pretty sure it’s the masks that have the bartender pouring our favorite beer before we close the door

Read almost the entire article wondering about the usual 1% - 10% that have a reaction to something ordinary. Good discussion near the end of exactly that problem particularly where hospitals are concerned

The frilled lizard is an iconic Australian reptile because of their utter fearlessness.

Their scientific name, Chlamydosaurus kingii, translates to 'King cloaked lizard' & you can see why.

They're one of a few modern lizards that can accurately be called bipedal, running upright on hind legs.

If we write off all news media, we’re playing into Trump’s hands. Some outlets are doing well while others stink.
In this installment of my free Stop the Presses newsletter, I give letter grades to major media outlets. See if you agree.
