Doing an #introduction post! 👋

I wrote two complete (and one in-progress) sprite comics all set in the same universe that are story-driven, epic fantasies rather than comedy-driven stories.

Charles Martin (10 November 1433 – 5 January 1477), called the Bold,[a] was the last duke of Burgundy from the House of Valois-Burgundy, ruling from 1467 to 1477. He was the only surviving legitimate son of Philip the Good and his third wife, Isabella of Portugal. As heir and as ruler, Charles vied for power and influence with rivals such as his overlord, King Louis XI of France. In 1465, Charles led a successful revolt of Louis's vassals in the War of the Public Weal.

My six year old has a better understanding of relativity than Deanna Troi in that TNG episode where she had to command the ship. There's no reason she shouldn't understand that science instinctively in her society, but the audience at home needed the handholding

That reminds me of

Every German I’ve ever met has had a great sense of humour. One particular German, Frank, made the best unintentional joke I’ve ever heard.

I was telling him about how my parents had moved to Spain, and they had a problem with eagles stealing their chickens.

Me: “Yeah, these eagles come down out of the mountains. They steal the chickens right out of the pen!”

Frank: “An eagle?! AN EAGLE DOES THIS?!”

Me: “Yes, they have eagles over there. Mad, isn’t it?”

Frank: “AN EAGLE IS STEALING THE CHICKENS?!”

Me: “Errr, yeah. They’re predators, you know?”

Frank: “THEY ARE PREDATORS?!”

Me: “Yeah, and they fly down and kill the chickens and then fly off with them.”

Frank: “THEY FLY— Wait, hang on… Oh… I see. Err… In German, Igel is… errr…”

There was a long, long pause.

Frank: “AH! IN GERMAN, EIN IGEL IS A HEDGEHOG!”
