[reading my diary] The pacing on this thing is awful. Characters are introduced that aren't necessary for the plot. Entire plotlines are introduced and then promptly forgotten. Requires deep knowledge of previous volumes.This whole thing is a mess and needs a complete rewrite.

Thank goodness. I suspect this is a Canvas online "short essay." Those got really popular when all campuses were remote because they're easy (to make) assignments to accompany each lecture. It doesn't excuse the writing or the content.

I watched an episode randomly in toonami in the late 90s while punch drunk from final exams and I suspect I was not in a good headspace for it. Is this the one about the boy who solves everyone's problems by beating them with a bat?
