Yeah my first set was an old B&W hand-me-down. I never appreciated until later that the colours “degraded” so gracefully into greyscale.

There’s loads of free* space in the standard ROM, with a bit of compression you can squeeze in graphics too.

I took a notion to draw a wee comic last night, based on my real-life experience where I felt bad for some sticks.

Reminder: if you miss the ZX81 and long for a DIY version to tinker with Z80 code (and CP/M - but that’s another story) you need to look up RC2014.

Yeah that’s not really the way I use YouTube to be honest. I’m with you on the intro/outro framing it as show. I really curate my subs list and ruthlessly prune the watch history to keep the algorithm better trained - so almost every show I watch is deliberate, and so I do treat it like TV 📺😊☕️
