It’s a common misconception that elk and moose are the same thing! 😆

They’ve just refitted my local supermarket, moved everything around and everyone hates it. Had a typically awful trip there yesterday. I can tell you this though: I know EXACTLY where the Eccles cakes are! 😋

After repairing a bunch of old oscilloscopes, I melted down the failed wax capacitors and made up scented candles.

Yeah, I had a nice chat with Jim the author. He was telling me that (appropriately enough) the stories are intertwined such that you can’t really tell one without telling another, so there will be more to come. And the art is cool, too!
Unsung Heroes of the Information Age — Digital Comics
The stories of the entrepreneurs who harness technology for profit are well known but what about the unsung heroes who laid the foundations of our connected world? Their stories are largely untold. Un...

Thanks, congrats! I just seemed to get in the zone, and got REALLY lucky with a few Pac-Man near-misses. Not sure I could do it again! 😅

Snorkers was getting on really well the Lava game when I came back later. I found that one the hardest tbh.

Amazing amount of fun packed into one-button games!

The one that springs to mind is Senua’s Sacrifice on Xbox. To solve the puzzle you need to stand in exactly the right spot so the 3D pieces align to form a 2D image.

Mind how you go, in case you unlock a boss battle!!

Sounds like both events were packed, The People want their Retro thats for sure! Had a hoot over here in Cambridge.

Just caught up with the news about “The Printer”. Omg, so cute! 🖨️ 🥰 Hoping to catch some of the Crash talks on YouTube later.

I have none of those things, but consider my interest piqued! (As it is I don’t have enough time to play all the games I want to play; I’m afraid of opening up the PS2 floodgates tbh. 😆 )

I didn’t even know that was a thing!

Thanks for the tips, I’ll give it a try! It’s funny, I’ve got my Saturn set up at home but I haven’t actually played Sega Rally for ages. But when I saw it running at the museum today I just had to have a quick go. 😁

Oh cool, yeah I should put some time into trying MT then. Lakeside seems so punishing for little mistakes, a bit more control would certainly help.

Oooh yeah. That’s the business. (Although I’m used to playing on a d-pad!) It’s essential for NiGHTS though of course. I’ve heard the official Saturn steering wheel is great with Sega Rally, but never owned one myself.

AT mostly. It’s not like Daytona where you really need manual. Not sure if the top speed is different though? But you just fling it round corners and feather the throttle. Oh and watch the ghost cars in Time Trial for the best racing-line!

Thank you! It was always one of my faves. It’s closer to a Wipeout game than a rally sim if that helps you. When you get it right you just *float* around the bends. 😁 🧘
