[November 1st, 1945] A secret list of over 200 U.S. Nazis and a swastika flag design for 1951 were discovered in Munich. The flag replaced the stars of the American flag with a swastika, keeping 13 stripes. Names were not disclosed but sent to authorities.

On this day in 1964, the Canadian Flag Committee, after six weeks of meetings, chooses the Maple Leaf Flag designed by George Stanley to be presented to Parliament for approval.
