🧪 Lab life question!

What antibiogram methods do you use in your lab?
🔹 Disk diffusion?
🔹 MIC strips ?
🔹 Automated systems ?
🔹 Broth microdilution ?
🔹 Or something else?

Let’s share and compare! 👇

Reference genome choice compromises population genetic analyses - a problem for microbes too! Our lab is designing a tool to automatically choose references for input samples using features like phylogeny of reads to existing references. Any thoughts🤩? 🧪🦠🧬🖥️ #microsky

In France, despite medical biology contributing to 70% of medical diagnoses, a decreasing number of medical residents are choosing this specialty. However, dedicated teaching, presented in an engaging and interactive manner, has proven effective 😀

Really agree with this post, amazing podcast, learned so much, thank you very much @cmicomms.bsky.social
I have never found myself taking notes during a podcast but this one was really amazing! Learning about the complexity and credibility of the trial is fascinating! Amazing job by the trial team.

A tiny mention of environmental sustainability by @angelahuttner.bsky.social made my heart melt! #IDsky

Academically, I know there are massive problems with access to adequate antibiotics in LMICs, but looking at infection burden and sales of relevant antibiotics, this article estimates only 6.9% of CRGN infections are treated properly.

Truly shocking.
