Ossoff: "This is a seismic event. This should have people across the country absolutely shook. This is a huge deal. This is an FBI raid on the Fulton County Elections office ... This is a shot across the bow at the midterm elections. He tried to steal power when he lost it in 2020."

Maine--also under an ICE surge--has an undocumented population of about 5,000 people & the nation's lowest rate of violent crime. Because they can't find "the worst of the worst," they're primarily detaining people w/ legal status & no criminal record. This isn't about immigration.

We are saying goodbye to my beloved Aunty today. She passed away last week after almost 20yrs with Parkinson’s and then Dementia. She was so kind and clever, and she will be missed dearly. I can’t make it to the funeral in person so I’ll be ‘attending’ the livestream, which feels a bit surreal.

This should have all Australians up in arms. Even with 'updated definitions' of terrorism, the term is almost never applied to white violence. Which is bizarre considering White Australians were, and still are, the first 'terrorists' of this land.

I’ve been up writing a draft chapter (Anthro - work related) since 4am and I’m making progress but my mind keeps drifting off to dragon-land and I can’t wait to get back to the novel I’m reading (Priory of the Orange Tree prequel)

Which came first, the announcement that Bovino was being pulled out, or the news that Hegseth sought approval to use the MN military base to further their attack on the city?

I can't put into words the feeling of watching our government, a hive of evil antisocial filth, the absolute worst humanity has to offer, colliding with the best. Ordinary people trying to help each other, risking everything to stand up for what's plainly, unambiguously fair and right. It's unreal

I think a lot of us get hope wrong. Hope, I do not believe, is an emotion. In fact, hope makes space for lots of emotions to exist alongside it. You can DO hope scared, angry, sad etc...

Hope doesn't find us. We make hope through action and struggle. It's a practice of living and is re-made daily.
