Lots of new people here today! A bit about me since I've never posted an intro:

- I work in tech but don't talk about it much
- I like crafts and making stuff. Most recently I have been into crochet
- I like video games
- I have ADHD
- I watch a lot of TV shows while doing said crafting and gaming

The ability to remove your post when a hostile account quote-tweets you is a great feature of Bluesky.

To do it, go to their quote-tweet of you, click on the three dots in the bottom right, then click “detach quote.”

It shows up as “removed by author.”

Got my Crystal Star order, very delighted by my new plants. Also got some clips and trellises. This is probably my last plant order of the year? I'm excited to keep growing my current plants and my new ones

I think my takeaway of a lot of the conversation about more housing here is that people are for it, but only if it's "somewhere else" and not their own neighbourhood

Yes your taxes should support disabled people.

They should support homeless people.

They should support those living in poverty, children and the elderly.

This is literally the purpose of taxes, and I would far rather support those who need it than continue to enrich the elite.

Someone said Stewart and I should get a dog and without a beat Stewart's mom said "they get my dog when I die"
At least one person was offended that they would not be getting the dog

It was just very nonchalantly mentioned after a phone call that a relative was found unconscious yesterday, and is now in the hospital. They have sepsis and are in surgery, and don't know that their leg is going to be removed. Followed that up with "they're going to be pissed when they wake up"

Thanksgiving in Canada has nothing to do with Columbus!

We are a colonial country with a million things to atone for but Thanksgiving is not one of them.

Our Thanksgiving is timed with the harvest and it's literally just "Be grateful for harvest"

I refer to this as "just one more question" because it's never just one more question, but it's always phrased that they have one more question.
