Don't want to be an American idiot
"I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" is a war crime.

There’s a local internet provider called Vexus. I always wonder, did they not know the meaning of vex?

I’m going to have to find out what the hell an autopen is, aren’t I?

Mamas, don’t let your babies grow up to be reporters who stand by silently while their colleague is insulted and disrespected by an overgrown playground bully.

Ross Douthat’s career is (even) less significant than you think

Little-known fact: the Lincoln bedroom originally boasted a shovel with “live, laugh, love“ written on it in coal mounted on the wall.

Ways Trump resembles Gatsby:
He’s a poser
Ostentatious displays of wealth
No real friends
Material possessions will never fill the gaping void in his soul

It seems disingenuous that with all the talk on 90 Day Fiance about having a job or needing a job, nobody acknowledges that their job is being on tv.

It was great to see so many #lubbock peeps at the protest on Saturday. Unless I missed something, the Avalanche Journal didn’t mention it at all. Hundreds of people protesting in Lubbock should be newsworthy.

I’m sure Zuckerberg doesn’t care what I think, but he’s ruining Instagram. My feed is turning into nothing but videos (sorry, ”reels”) from people I don’t know, and when I do a search a stupid little AI thing pops up at the top in case I was confused about what, say, a chair is.

I'm not a metallurgist, but if 24 karat gold is 99.9 percent gold, can there be variations in quality? Or is this just another example of POTUS being full of crap?

It’s gotta be unprecedented for a president to go on tv and tell the nation not to take a certain medication. That‘s not how that’s supposed to work.

Super disappointed in @msnbc.com for covering the Charlie Kirk memorial. Obviously I’m not watching it.
September 21, 2025 at 6:06 PM
@warren.senate.gov, I think you would find that many of your constituents didn't know who Charlie Kirk was before his death, and many of those who did would not think him worthy of honoring.

What am I going to do with all these little glass yogurt jars? It would be awesome, though probably not efficient, if you could return them to the company to be refilled with yogurt. There isn’t even glass recycling in this godforsaken hellhole I call home.

Couldn’t log into my work computer today. I called IT and they want me to install the Duo Mobile app on my personal cellphone. Is this something I should be worried about? #duomobile

It’s almost as if appointing an anti-vax lunatic with zero qualifications to oversee America’s health was a numbskull idea and everybody with a functioning brain knew it.

I’d like to see a lot more public resistance to RFK’s policies from physicians and pharmacists. Remember how he wasn’t going to take away anyone’s vaccines? SSRIs are probably next on his chopping block. Then he’ll say diabetes is a moral failing and you don’t need insulin—just will it away!

“CDC hasn’t reached out to us locally,” Katherine Wells, the public health director in Lubbock, Texas, wrote in a Feb. 5 email exchange with a colleague two weeks after children with measles were hospitalized in Lubbock. “My staff feels like we are out here all alone,” she added.“
As measles exploded, West Texas officials looked to CDC scientists. No one answered.
Emails show how overwhelmed West Texas officials were as they asked CDC for guidance on how to respond to the explosive outbreak.
