She's lying, because as an Arab, I have NEVER immediately assumed someone is Arabic until I hear them speak Arabic first. At one point in life, when I was working in Dubai, I had an entire conversation with a guy in English, and only a few days later did we both learn that the other is an Arab lol

It was in their interest to paint all Muslims as "regressive savages who throw gay people off of a roof" (a fake claim, by the way). If it weren't for zionism and wahhabism, I can assure you that there would've been a pride march in the Arab world by now. AT LEAST in the Levant.

However, the wahhabis from the Gulf countries (especially saudi) act like the de facto authority on Islam, and they don't like progress. They want queerness stamped out, women to be second class citizens, and science to be denied.

At some point in history, Islam was a much more progressive, advanced, and tolerant religion. Muslims were some of the most forward-thinking philosophers, mathematicians, physicists, and scientists in general. The math field owes so much to Islamic scholars and thinkers.

This is sad, because it means I'll be enjoying less point and click adventures moving forward, and I don't want such a high bar to be set for the genre, but I can't control how I feel. The Drifter is too perfect for this genre. Which is unfair for other point and click devs.
