The irony is that Trump's right about US electoral interference, but it was all done in his and GOP's favour, and by disinformation campaigns mostly on social media, not by fiddling with counts. Just as it was with the EU referendum in the UK.

It is worth recalling that the position of U.K. Ambassador to the US was not vacant at the time the Prime Minister chose to appoint Peter Mandelson to the role. A highly competent and respected woman was replaced.
