I loved visiting that place years ago. Such good foods. I had the pleasure of engineering an audiobook about kids o’ queer parents enjoying Family Week there, read by the awesome trans dude Ari Roque.

Folks—I’m enjoying Mastodon, and especially the turtleisland instance. It feels very ‘community’ over there. I realized that I personally don’t need Bluesky, and really disliked the latest anti-trans nonsense. I’ll pop in from time to time.

it impacted my day-to-day experience in that I left and went to Mastodon. Pretty cozy over there. I’m sure the trans community here is and will remain furious. Bluesky is for trans people.

Also, you have that smarmy JD Vance on here. I can’t believe he hasn’t violated TOS. Personally? I’d tighten up the TOS a little to get rid of people like them.

my dad told me to watch out for people who will seek to undermine you, and I think that’s far better advice. I still do so. (and then try to avoid them/confront them/etc depending on the situation)
