Maybe I’m a bit sentimental, but it doesn’t really seem that allocating the resources required for establishing a blockade at that scale is the sort of thing anyone should be doing without, you know, a congressional declaration of war.

And also, c’mon, it’s nearly Christmas!

Am starting to resent the whole phrasing of "AI is here now so we have to use it" ...umm no? It's not some bad smell in the room you can't escape - we can absolutely decide not to use and buy into this stuff as much as possible. 🤷‍♂️

🧵 There's an add running on many podcasts right now for student Google Gemini. I don't want to condescend to students, because I think many are savvy about GenAI, but please understand that "free" year they're offering means training their AI by uploading *your* work, your intellectual property.

Praying for all those affected and thinking of the people of Providence & the Brown community as we follow this dreadful news. We must never accept that such violence happens at all, let alone routinely, in our country.

I understand that a lot of folks have been misled by fear-mongering and powerful regressive voices but it’s still astonishing to me that so many have fallen for the idea that oppressively policing other people’s gender identity and expression could in any way be part of an enlightened future.

In heav'n the bells are ringing:
Ding dong! Hop along! Fal lal the willow!
Tom Bom, jolly Tom! Can you hear him singing?" 🎶

Sorry, folks. This stuff just creeps into my head. I have to get it out. #tolkienchristmas

One of the biggest drivers of high housing costs is that a small, highly motivated group of incumbent homeowners block new housing in their neighborhoods and almost no one is organized to push back.

Young people bear the brunt of that imbalance.

Be a housing fan.

Neither Montana nor California have legalized in-app gambling and the fact that those two very different states agree on this should be a signal to everywhere else.

It's called Generator. Coming to Massey Hall on the 27th.

Please tell your people.
