Behold a giant sunflower! With banana for scale. This one is from the same seeds I used last year, in a different spot, and those grew to be taller than I am (and I am not the size of a banana). Something must be really wrong with the soil where I put this one.

One of our elderly gentlemen had a bit of meds interaction problem this week – scared us a lot, but got better quite fast (he's off the offending meds now). Here he is, basking in the sunshine. Who cares that the ground is hard and cold 🙄🐱
