You meet with people you love and you get to play a character as you create a story together. Sometimes your character gets to help people. It's at the perfect intersection of "nerd" and "theater kid."
I never understood dungeons and dragons but my friend explained it perfectly for me by saying "you wouldn't get it as its mostly maths based". That explained it perfectly for me. Maths is my weakest subject.

So my special interests have been "less intense" lately bc job and depression
but like a week ago or so I got triggered like a sleeper agent & sent AN HOUR AND A HALF worth of voice texts about Star Trek to this guy I don't know that my partner is getting acquainted with.

As a representative of the charity "Lack of Autism Talks" I think this is an excellent plan, give us money.
I don't have anything against Not Autistic people, I just think we should research their genotype so we can identify what genes cause it. That way we can abort all Not Autistic people so Not Autistic people will stop existing. 🧵

Tbh this is no small part of why I struggle to trust people’s self assessment of “the person I’m meanest to is myself.” In my personal experience, many of the people who (earnestly!) believe this about themselves are also capable of extraordinary cruelty to fat people, but they don’t see it.
HARD AGREE. There’s also such a big gap in how the impacts are conceptualized: there’s a belief that 4chan/incel forums direct their toxicity outward, while pro-ana forums are seen as directing theirs inward, which ignores the massive and ruthless trolling that pro-ana folks aim at fat people.
