Still thinking about these, and this is where I'm still on my prison abolition journey. Because both of these women deserved prison. When I was a PD, I met a handful of people who I believed should never walk free among us.

Abolish the system as it stands? Absolutely. Abolish it altogether? IDK
I watched two of the most upsetting documentaries ever last week - The Perfect Neighbor and Tell Them You Love Me - both on Netflix.

Despite the subject matter, both were really well done and important, I think, for different reasons.

My goal with this series is to encourage people to financially support, read or listen to what independent/women owned businesses are producing instead of shopping online this holiday season with anonymous retailers where rich men make all the money.

Here is a true story.

During Trump’s first term, The Post got a tip that his doctor — the guy with the long hair who signed that first “healthiest guy ever” letter — wanted to spill the beans. He lived in Westchester, up near where I lived at the time. So I was tasked with talking to him. 1/

One of the many reasons AI can't produce good writing is it can't hate its own writing. It can't think to itself "Maybe I'm illiterate" during the writing process. And that's essential

WHAAAAT?
Today it was my honor to present oral argument in the 14th Court of Appeals in Houston, Texas, on behalf of my client.

The issue is whether a trial judge in a criminal case can tell the jury that "beyond a reasonable doubt" can be as low as "60 percent."

The only conclusion I can draw from this is that there is something physically wrong and cognitively wrong with Trump, he knows it, and he's angry and frightened.
Every part of this is bonkers. The intro is bonkers. The transition to his health is bonkers. The mention that other presidents didn't need cognitive exams is bonkers. The claim that this screening test is somehow hard is bonkers. The idea that criticism of him is treason is bonkers. All of it.

Over ten years ago I pitched a piece about how all these glowing profiles were being done about 3d printing companies "disrupting" and "democratizing" prosthetics and how that was simply not true. I was told it was too boring/negative and nobody wanted it.

3D printing was supposed to disrupt prosthetic costs. It hasn’t.
Britt Young, writer and lecturer at UC Berkeley, explains why 3D printing has not brought down costs of prosthetic limbs.

Trump’s obsession with me is beyond weird. He needs serious help.

Since he has no economic policies to tout, he’s resorting to regurgitating bigoted lies instead.

He continues to be a national embarrassment.
Trump: "Ilhan Omar, whatever the hell her name is. With her little turban. I love her. She comes in, does nothing but bitch ... we ought to get her the hell out ... she's here illegally."

The crowd in Pennsylvania then starts chanting "send her back!"

CONFIRMED: Eileen Higgins, a Democrat, will be the new mayor of Miami.

She'll be the city's first Democratic mayor since the 1990s. She flipped the office from Republicans, and does so easily. She leads the DeSantis-endorsed Emilio González 59/41 right now with most ballots counted.
