me as a little boy, in southern Colorado.
life seemed so simple then.
I stand by this. Ms Sidner is continuing with it today. truly top notch.

in fact it seems the TV channel (if not the web/social presence) has been consistently good about its handling and messaging on all this since I started watching yesterday.
watching @cnn.com today and I need to praise the on the ground Minneapolis reporting of Sarah Sidner. she’s doing a fantastic job of being very direct, clear, accurate, and fair about what actually happened and the mood on the street. I’m impressed. old-school broadcast journalism.

he’s choosing today to talk about the MFing ballroom. even Nero would cringe.
(1/11) I’m building, on top of everything else that I am doing, one of the greatest and most beautiful Ballrooms anywhere in the World, with more than 300 Million Dollars of Great American Patriots’ money, and working closely with, right from the beginning, the United States

the recurring talking point from Blanche this morning was essentially
"you should primarily feel sorry for ICE officers because their job is so tough. and their job is so tough because the blue states and cities won't help them."
WELKER: It appears Pretti was shot 10 times. He was pummeled & sprayed with gas. Why shouldn't every American be bothered by what they see?

BLANCHE: Every American should be bothered. But they should be bothered that ICE is going to arrest a criminal & they have 0 support from law enforcement

when she asked him about yesterday‘s shooting, I assumed that the governor of bright red Oklahoma was going to respond with nothing but hard-core talking points. and indeed he started out that way, but where he landed was surprisingly moderate.

not praising; just hopeful.

it’s important to remember that, as a whole, they are actually very stupid.

that truth comes with pros and cons, but it is the simple, obvious truth.

Soon he will start talking about Epstein to distract us from the horrible job he is doing on immigration, foreign policy, and the economy.

strongly prefer an America where we don’t ever have to send video to the instant replay booth to see if a police shooting of a civilian was justified or not

when is that moment, when the state and local police - remembering their oaths - decide to turn around, putting themselves between the federal thugs and the protesters, and say to the thugs
ENOUGH. GET BACK. THESE PEOPLE ARE MY COMMUNITY.

when is that moment? now? later? never?

again, leave space in your life to laugh, deeply and for a good while, at the absolute idiocy of this regime. they really are just so ridiculous.
